Delicious honey roasted swede (rutabaga) chips that are perfect for dipping or served as a side dish with your favourite roast.

- 1 swede rutabaga
- 2 tbsp honey
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon thyme fresh, chopped
Peel the swede and cut into chips or fries about 1.5 centimetres or about half an inch.
Put the oil and seasoning into a large bowl and add the swede chips. Stir thoroughly so that they are all coated in the oil.
Line a shallow baking tray with foil and lay out the swede in a single layer.
Preheat the oven to 180 C / 350 F / 160 FAN / Gas 4.
Roast the swede for 30 minutes.
Turn the roasted swede chips over with a spatula, drizzle over the honey and scatter over the leaves from the thyme.
Return to the oven for 10 minutes.
